A Coordinated Team of Specialists

Gynecologic cancers vary in terms of symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. Your primary care physician or gynecologist plays an important role detecting, diagnosing, and treating reproductive cancers. Your team may also include gynecologic oncologists, gynecologic oncology surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists and oncology nurses. Together, they discuss the diagnosis and staging of the disease and treatment recommendations for every patient. This approach ensures patients receive the benefit of multiple opinions and team input.
