The Heart & Vascular Institute offers a variety of tests to help your doctor determine if you are at risk for a heart problem and if you already have a heart problem, the treatment you need.
Our experienced and knowledgeable Heart and Vascular team is trained and equipped to detect, diagnose, and monitor a full range of cardiovascular conditions.
Screening and diagnostic tests range from noninvasive studies such as cardiac CT or MRI, echocardiography, treadmill stress tests, and vascular imaging, to more invasive procedures that are performed in our Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
By capturing still or moving images of your heart and blood vessels, doctors are able to find out the cause of symptoms such as discomfort in the chest, shortness of breath, or irregular heartbeats. Testing also helps your doctor monitor your heart’s electrical system, check your pacemaker or other implanted device, see how your heart can handle exercise, determine how well your heart valves are working, and look for structural problems in your heart.
When it comes to preventing heart disease, we offer a variety of programs and educational events, as well web-based resources and interactive tools to help you determine your risk, navigate challenges, and make healthy choices in your life.
