The Penn Medicine HealthWorks Occupational Medicine program offers employers a menu of services—from pre-hire testing to worker’s compensation care—all focused on keeping your business compliant with regulatory requirements and keeping your employees safe, healthy and on-the-job. Our services are available when you need them on a fee-for-service basis and require no contracts or monthly fees.

Our team of health-care professionals is led by a physician medical director, board-certified in Occupational Medicine. And as part of Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, you have access to the resources of one of the region's most trusted and respected health systems.

Occupational Medicine Testing Services

We offer a broad range of testing services to support employee health and help you maintain compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements. Our providers are certified medical examiners and understand the complex commercial driver certification process. We are here to assist in keeping your drivers healthy and roads safe.

Testing options include:

  • Customized drug and alcohol testing (DOT and non-DOT)
  • Physicals (DOT, FAA, pre-employment, respirator, and other specialized physicals)
  • Surveillance testing, including audiogram and PFT
  • Return to work/fit-for-duty examinations
  • Workplace safety evaluations and ergonomics assessments
  • Worker’s compensation evaluation and treatment
  • Vaccinations and blood draws
  • Blood/body fluid exposure management
  • Drug and alcohol random testing program management, including DOT Consortium
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance management for respiratory protection requirements, blood borne pathogens, lead and asbestos, and more

Additional options include after-hours work injury care at Lancaster General Health Urgent Care locations—with walk-in and online appointment scheduling available—as well as 24/7 emergency care at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster County’s only accredited Level I Trauma Center.
